"Kanojo ni Naru Hi Another" Chapter 11

It feels like it's been forever to get to this chapter! Ugh! But I think this chapter is worth the wait. As usual, I will write my thoughts about the chapter on the Lovely Manga Blog. I hope to get it done this weekend. The next chapter will arrive here in early October. We'll try to release it soon after.

On to the release!

"Kanojo ni Naru Hi" Chapter 10

With this chapter, we are all caught up on "Kanojo ni Naru Hi". The Next chapter won't release in Japanese until the first week of July. We'll aim to get it out within a week of receiving the raw.

There are a lot of thoughts running through my head after reading chapters 9 and 10. I posted my thoughts on both chapters on the Lovely Manga Blog (LINK).

And now onto the release!

"Kanojo ni Naru Hi -- Another" Chapter 5

When I first saw this frontis page, I thought, "please let Sagara become the school bancho". That would be cool! Maybe it'll happen. Who knows. Anyhow, what does happen sets up for an interesting arc for the series as a whole. The question is whether anyone will actually do it and how does this bleed over into the main series "Kanojo ni Naru Hi".  Oh, ho, ho! I guess we released that oneshot just in time.

A reminder: "Kanojo ni Naru Hi" with Mamiya and Miyoshi is resuming in September in Ane Lala magazine. Of course, we will be translating the series unless and until it is licensed.

And now onto the release.

Finally! Here they are! This big bundle of goodies includes the "Kanojo ni Naru Hi" Miyoshi and Mamiya story that ran in Lala a few months back. I'm glad I waited for the high quality tankoubon version.

In case you didn't know, "Kanojo ni Naru Hi" will be returning in September. It will run in Ane Lala, which is switching to bi-monthly publication instead of quarterly. Of course, we will continue with the series. I'm looking forward to it!

"Kanojo ni Naru Hi -- Another" Chapter 4

"Kanojo ni Naru Hi -- Another" Volume 1 is available for purchase!
Purchase: Amazon JP / YesAsia
------------------------
Haha! This is probably the longest break we've ever taken! If I weren't saving up releases for our anniversary, we would have put out 5 before this one. Rest assured we are working on projects. It's just that we need time to get stuff ready for our anniversary oneshot party.

Anyhow, here's the 4th chapter of "Kanojo ni Naru Hi - Another". In this chapter, Sagara is starting to be pushed into accepting that she is now girl and we learn more details about "emergence." I'm excited for the next chapter because it seems that the story is ramping for a major turn. Hmm... hee! I liked this chapter a lot, and I'm growing fonder of Narumi as the story progresses.

And now onto the release!

"Kanojo ni Naru Hi -- Another' Chapter 2

It's been a while since our last release. Most of the releases that we are working on are over 40-pages and therefore require more time than usual to complete. Anyhow, we're chugging along now, so hopefully we'll get back to our average 2 releases/week schedule.

Here is the second chapter of "Kanojo ni Naru Hi -- Another". I like how this story begins by focusing on friendship and self-acceptance (regardless of gender) first.  I guess I say this because it's clear Sagara got in lots of fights before emergence because he didn't like being small and feminine looking even as a boy. After reading this chapter, I want to know more about Kurokawa and what it's like to emerge as a child. (Seeing Sagara and Kurokawa in the past would be a nice short special chapter.)  Also the situation they get into toward the end of the chapter raises some interesting sexism questions.  You would think in a society where some males become females that there would be more gender equality.  But as shown through Sagara and Kurokawa, it seems that there is some loss of status after a boy emerges. I hope Ogura explores this more.  Interestingly, this didn't seem to be much of an issue with Mamiya because he was cool and confident both as a male and then as a female. I guess I want to understand this deeper. How do families feel when their son emerges? Is it a joyous occasion or is it a source of shame? Also, how do girls feel about emerged girls? Are they accepted as "real girls"? Or are "emerged girls" marginalized both by girls and boys?

I better stop now before I get to rambly.  And now onto the release!
