Ore to Atashi no Kareshi-sama Chapter 5

This has nothing to do with this manga or Omari's Sister, but go see "Pacific Rim". It's the funnest movie of the summer season IMHO. I've been spamming the heck out of everyone on Tumblr with it. Anyhow, go give it some money, because we need more movies like this and less "Transformers" and "Battleship" crap.

Okay, back to the manga at hand. I think the release pace of "Ore to Atashi" is going to continue on like this. We're working on chapter 6 now, but I can't say with confidence that we'll release it in August. There are simply too many complex time-consuming redraws.

Anyhow... this chapter we start getting into the nitty-gritty matters of being female and we start scratching the surface of Hayate's "siscon". I think in terms of the nitty-gritty matters, this is best gender-swap manga I've read so far (not that I've read a great many of them.). And poor Tsukiyono... his precious feelings...

Okay, now onto the release!

"Ore to Atashi no Kareshisama" Chapter 4

We are slowly working our way through this series. It's going slow because the redraws are insane. Hopefully we'll be able to finish this series over the summer when the redraw artists are on summer vacation.  Let's give a big thanks to Aoi Kuma for doing some of the tough redraws in this chapter. This is also her debut as a member of Omari's Sister.

In this chapter we begin to dive into Hayate's sister complex.  Actually, I think Hayate's feelings for Chouko are cute and completely normal and innocent for close twins. I wouldn't call it a sister complex (he's nothing like Sui from "Magnolia" -- now that's a SISTER COMPLEX!).  With each chapter I feel sorrier and sorrier for Tsukiyono. His heart is a goner... poor boy...

Okay, now onto the chapter 4 release!

"Ore to Atashi no Kareshi-sama" Chapter 2

It's been a while. This is one of the series we've had on hold because I made the group bite off more than it could swallow. This wasn't fair to my group and this wasn't fair to the readers for this blog. I'm sorry about that. I still can't promise regular releases of this series because we don't have enough redraw support at the moment :(. Moving on, this series is coming to an end at chapter 12 (plus an omake) in Asuka magazine this month. I skimmed ahead and it's a really cute and compact series. I'm happy that it's not dragging on longer than 3 volumes. We will try to finish the series as soon as possible.

Anyhow, I really liked this chapter and I'm eager to get onto chapter 3, which I've already started to translate ^^.  Onto the release!

"Ore to Atashi no Kareshi-sama" Chapter 1

We finally get this series started.  Phew! There were a lot of complicated redraws.  Thanks to Ichi and Kumiko for the great redraw work and thanks to Suzume for cleaning.

This series turns out to be a lot sweeter than I anticipated.  I'm happy about that because I always like stories with some underlying heart.  In this chapter we get some good incite into the twins' mind.  Chouko is a typical shallow female high school student and Hayate is her wiser over-protective brother. Peeking at the two chapters that are currently out, this is really a story about friendship, perhaps something the twins have never really had outside of themselves, and dealing with going out with the most popular guy in school.   There's also some interesting story development from Tsukiyono's (the love interest) side as he tries to figure out why Chouko changes so drastically.  Tsukiyono in chapter 2 looks adorable as he doki-dokis over Chouko.
