"Pochamani" Chapter 7

Thanks to everyone for waiting patiently for us to continue "Pochamani".  I wanted to do this chapter in particular in high quality, and I think it was well worth the wait. From now on to be in-synch with the tankoubon releases, we will release one chapter per month. We anticipate no multiple months long hiatuses in the near to mid-range future.

I've included the artwork from the volume 2 tankoubon, so if you are feeling inspired, I would love some Pochamani banners for the blog (width: 1250px, height: 250 - 350px, PSD with separate text layer preferred)

Oh! I almost forgot! A big thanks goes out to our newest member Aricania for typesetting this chapter. Great job!

This is the Christmas chapter. I suppose I should leave my thoughts after the links so I don't spoil things here, so on to the release!

AUGH!!! The release date for "Pochamani" Volume 2 has been updated to June 20th on AmazonJP. So no Chapter 7 until the end of June. Sorry everyone :/.

First I'd like to announce some good news! Even though it's not listed on Hakusensha's website, "Pochamani" Volume 2 is listed for release on May 20th on Amazon JP! This means chapter 7 will come out toward the end of May, and we will not have to find a substitute! I'm so relieved!  I know folks out there are impatient, but chapter 7 is very important, and it would have sucked to have it released with craptacular image quality.

Okay, onto talking about this chapter.  Last chapter we started to see the notion of reciprocation in terms of feelings and touching in Tsumugi and Tagami's relationship.  In this chapter things are more fully realized.  I like how someone finally decides to give Tagami lessons in privacy and how Tsumugi reinforces the importance and the increased pleasure in keeping some of their intimate actions private.  I like how real this chapter is. Most guys when they like someone are very physical. Guys I've spoken to say they have an easier time communicating how they feel through action rather than speaking words.  So ladies, if your guy doesn't say "I love you", but can't keep his damned hands off you, he's most likely nuts about you and that's his way of saying "I love you". Haha!  Try giving him a little love in man-speak back *wink*.

And suddenly this seemingly innocuous and sweet story goes someplace totally unexpected... *_* Whut? Is Tsumugi seriously saying that?! We knew what was on Tagami's mind... but, dude, really? Anyhow, I tried to be as delicate as possible with the translation in hopes of not making it look as though things took a sudden 90-degree turn.  Still, it's refreshing to see a female character not shy away from carnal feelings. And thank goodness for Mami and Seiji. Two have been good check valves so far.  Though, I still have suspicions about Seiji's intentions.

On to the release!

Announcement: "Pochamani" Volume 2 Tankoubon Coming out After March

Much to my disappointment, "Pochamani" Volume 2 isn't coming out in March, which moves the soonest it could come out to April. We have enough tankoubon chapters to last until March with monthly releases.  I do have the magazine versions, but Hana to Yume print quality ranges from pure crap to medium.  I don't want to compromise the quality we've got from the tankoubon, but at the same time, I know there are some of you who really don't give a crap about the translation or image quality and just want anything now, first, (because you're DYING).  Now that I’ve written this,  I realize I don't care about the "fans" who don't give crap, because "fans who don't give a crap" is an oxymoron. Hopefully, the tankoubon will be released in April and this won't be a problem, but if it comes later, unless the raw is medium quality, we will resume "Pochamani" when we get the volume 2 tankoubon. Yes, and "Pochamani" will be presented in high quality loveliness as it should :3 (Though I would feel bad if some people chose to look at crap scanlations because they couldn't wait... but those are those people's eyeballs and those people are sad children with no impulse control.)
