"Furou Kyoudai" Chapter 4
Here we are at chapter 4. These last two chapters have a story arc. This chapter makes me think that this series could have continued further than 5 chapters. It's kind disappointing when you consider the potential of the Furou twins and their predicament. I imagine some of the potential story material was used for the series after this one called "Unknown".
And now onto the release!

"Furou Kyoudai" Chapter 3
First! a bit of business! New items and books have been added to the Omari's Sister Store. Please take a look and see if there are goodies you want to add to your collection. (LINK)
Also exciting announcements were made in earlier posts. Check them out then squeal with joy.
---------------------------
And now comes the march to finish "Furou Kyoudai". All the chapters in the main story are complete, but I'm gonna do daily releases like what was done for KKZoo.
This is an interesting chapter. The Furou twins confront the appearance of incest in their relationship. Their solution is not perfect, but takes care of their main problem. Haha!
This time Jade translated the chapter. Kudos to her for a great translation! Also thanks to Noir Schist for typesetting. It was nice only having to do the final image editing and a little cleaning (Aki and Kumiko took care of most of it).
Onto the release:

"Scarecrow of Oz" and "Furou Kyoudai" Update
The "Scarecrow of Oz" compilation book is scheduled to go on sale on June 20th. There's no listing yet, but since "Furou Kyoudai" came out after, then the compilation should go on sale sometime in July. This means we can start "The Scarecrow of Oz" in July and then "Furou Kyoudai" will start in August. I'm very happy about this! It means we can deliver a high quality version of these short series with out killing ourselves. When the books do come out, I will, of course, post links so you can purchase your own copies :).

Delaying "Furou Kyoudai" and "The Scarecrow of Oz" Short Series
I've decided to delay "Furou Kyoudai" and "The Scarecrow of Oz" short series until July to allow for time for the release of compilation of the series and one-shots into a book (Hopefully, the books will come out way before July. If so, we'll start when the books come out instead of waiting.). The magazine print quality of the short series portion is atrocious and will take a long time to clean and edit (It's making my eyes burn and tearing up my mousing-wrist -- hello carpal tunnel...).
Even if we do our best, we could probably only bring the quality up to barely medium (too much missing "data"). If there's no sign of a book compilation by July, then we'll go with the raw we've got and do what we can. In the mean time, instead we'll start short series "Depend on a Kiss" and "Duet with a Demon" in May.

"Furou Kyoudai" to be Serialized!
"Furou Kyoudai" will be serialized in Hana to Yume magazine starting in issue 7 (March 5, 2011)! We will, of course, pick up the series. Like "The Scarecrow of Oz" it should be a short serialization. I will update this post with a preview image when I get Hana to Yume issue 6.

One-Shot: "Furou Kyoudai" The Long Version
Phew! We managed to get this done before Thanksgiving madness goes full-swing! Anyhow, here is the long version of Furou Kyoudai! The story is the same as short version, however, there's more detail and character development. I really enjoy this sibling pair and I hope Hakusensha allows Shiwasu-sensei to turn this into a series.

There is a 40-page follow on "Furou Kyoudai" one-shot. We will try to release it early in the new year.
Next up is J+K and Magnolia. December will be nuts because of the holidays and vacation plans, so please don't expect to see J+K and Magnolia within a week after I receive Aria. Please check the release schedule for the latest release dates. We'll do our best, but at the same time, it's a special time of year to spend with our families and friends. So enjoy the holiday season and we'll be back in full-swing January :).
Happy Thanksgiving to folks in the US! And for heaven's sake, don't bring your manga to the dinner table...put it down and eat...

One-shot Sequels!!!
W00t! Well, color me happy! Look what came with Hana to Yume Issue 24/2010! A wonderful book with sequels to "The Scarecrow of Oz" and "Furou Kyoudai." *Hana to Akuma Spoilers Ahead* Also in Hana to Yume issue 24 is the final chapter of "Hana to Akuma" which features (highlight white space to read) Hana and Vivi's wedding and off into the distant future -- half demon half human babies!!! Unfortunately, Hana got old and died...but Vivi's happy happy with his kids.
Oh, and if you are wondering what the other two one-shots are, I don't know yet, but I'll find out and see if they are worth translating.
Anyhow, a bunch of unanticipated manga and vacations got thrown at me, so I have to re-prioritize and re-jigger the schedule for the next few months. There's too much good stuff and not enough staff. But, as a "manager" I cannot take on anymore staff...so I have re-jigger things.
