"Yukarism" Chapter 11

Here is the final chapter of "Yukarism" before it went on hiatus.  I don't know when "Yukarism" will return, but I hope it's not too long and I hope the series isn't abandoned.  It's too good of a series to kill before it's done.  It does worry me, though, like the other series that went on hiatus, when it does return the story will be rushed to an end.*Wringing hands*

"Yukarism" Chp 10

It's been a while since we had a chapter of "Yukarism".  The series is currently on hiatus, so I decided there was no urgent need for releases.  It looks like Shiomi-sensei has recovered enough to start drawing again (a new chapter of "Nanatsu Kururi" came out in the latest issue of Itan) and she spoke on Twitter about finishing the manuscript for the end of an unnamed series...hmm...But keep in mind that Shiomi-sensei currently has three series running. I did see the listing for Betsuhana 6 and "Yukarism" doesn't appear.  I guess we have to wait at least two months longer.  Hopefully, this isn't like "Seirei Produce" which went on hiatus for a year.

Spring Banners Needed!

Springtime is nearly upon us!  It's time to show your springtime and manga love through banners! The requirements:

Width: 1200-pixels
Height: 200 - 350-pixel

It can be anything you like as long as it's spring themed and fits within the Omari's Sister "feel".  Please send the banners as layered PSD (image and text) if you can.  If you can't then JPEG and PNG are fine as long as you send two versions -- with and without text.  Send them to me, Kuroneko003, via the e-mail link on top of the right hand column.

"Seirei Produce" Chapter 10 (End)

Aren't these covers lovely! :3

I need to do a bit of business first. So, for fans of this series, Volumes 1 and 2 are available for purchase.  I have the two books and they are gorgeous.  Each book contain some color pages.  I encourage you to support Tooko Miyagi and buy the books.  Here are some links to purchase:

Yes Asia: Volume 1/Volume 2
Amazon JP:  Volume 1/Volume 2

Also, if you want, I can order the books for you and potentially save you a little bit on postage.

Okay...onto the chapter.  This is the final chapter of "Seirei Produce".  Compared to the comedic beginning, this wraps everything up in dramatic fashion.  I love the way this series ends.  The way everything is tied up a beautiful and well thought out and a little reminiscent of a Biblical story.  The lore presented is very sweet.  Anyhow...without further delay, the final chapter of "Seirei Produce".

One Shot: "Complete Story of Meg the Thief" ("Kaitou Magu no Ichibushijuu") by Nari Kusakawa

First of all I would like to thank Jade and Amrai for taking on the challenge of translating this one-shot.  This was probably the hardest one-shot we've ever taken on and I'm happy that we fought through it to get to a good result.  I'd also like to thank Noir Schist for her wonderful image editing and lettering. Oh!  And Ichi's miraculous redraws too!  Great work team!

And now onto the one-shot.  Not much to say here other than this is another wonderful one-shot from Nari Kusakawa and really like Ulric.  He's awesome! It's too bad this is a one-shot.  I would have liked to see this stretched out into a 1 volume series.  But, alas, I'll happily take this.

Kuroneko003's English License Wishlist

Have you noticed the serious lack of manga licensing in the US over the past year or so?  It seems like the only titles that have been recently getting licensed are BL, moe, or ancient titles that have already had their runs 10 or 20 years ago.  None of the recently licensed titles, with the exception of "Dawn of Arcana" and "The Earl and Fairy" from Viz's Shojo Beat, line have interested me.  This is pretty sad considering that I have money to spend.  I have no idea what's going on, but it feels like the Japanese publishers are withholding content.  This is a weird way to do business, but it's their business and their choice to leave money on the table. A girl can dream though.  So here's the beginning my US English license wishlist (not including OS titles, because of course I want those licensed):
  • Shitsuji-sama no Okiniiri  (The Fave of Mr. Butler) by Rei Izawa
  • "Hana no Kishi" ("Knight of Flower") by Mai Nishikata
  • "The Midnight Secretary" by Tomu Ohmi
  • "Yanki-kun to Megane-chan" by Miki Yoshi-kawa
  • "Kyou Kara Maoh!" by Tomo Takabayashi and Temari Matsumoto
  • "Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken" by Mimori Seike and Isuzu Shibata
  • "Baroque Knights" by Maki Fujita
  • "Tou Long Merry Rose" by Ritsu Miyako
  • "Corset ni Tsubasa" by Naoko Moto
Some of these I've read and others, I've only flipped through.  These are just the ones off the top of my head.  I'll be working on an ongoing list that I may add a as permanent page on this blog.  What are some of the series that you would like to see licensed in your country?  Please share :)
