First a bit of business! If you enjoyed this series, please consider showing Dai-sensei some love by purchasing the books!

Hooray! Another series completed! I'd like to specially thank Ichigo Stars and Kurohaineko for taking on the horrendous redraws in this series. Thanks to them, we had pretty releases. Also thanks to Suzume, our main cleaner for this project, and Kumiko and Noir for "pinch-hitting."
Because of the difficulty of translation, redrawing, and lettering, we don't plan to take on any new Shiina Dai series this year. We need a BREAK. However, we are very open to doing Shiina Dai's oneshots. So expect to see one or two this year.
Thanks to everyone for sticking with the series over the past 2 years. We hope to not delay things like this in the future. If you've never read the series, here's your chance to read the whole series in its entirety:
This is the second to last chapter of "Fushigi no Maria". You can consider this the last of the arc started in chapter 7. This chapter gets to the heart of Maria's feelings about Toko. It's quite sweet. Also, there's a good amount of comic relief provided by Simon and Maria's mother. I enjoyed working on this chapter quite a bit.
This chapter begins a two chapter story arc and introduces a new character named Simon. I sorta wish Simon was introduced earlier, because he and Maria make a perfect comic duo. I don't want to say much about this chapter other than along with chapter 8, I enjoyed it very much. I also received a lot of positive feedback on the chapter from the proofreaders. So let's just get on with the release!
Update: We lost our translator for "Boukyaku no Shirushi to Hime" halfway through the translation of chapter 1. Unless we find a translator, that project will be delayed until later in the year or not done at all. Problem solved!
Our proofreader and cleaning/redraw artist recruitment campaigns went well. Much thanks goes out to our new recruits. Our final bottleneck is translators. At the end of last year we lost Amrai and Blotty to real life and other translation endeavors. This leaves us short staffed for oneshots and short-series. I'm looking for advanced level translators (not necessarily fluent, because I'm not fluent myself) who are comfortable without furigana for potential josei and seinen projects. That, though, is not a must. Volunteers who need furigana can stick to shoujo projects. A few words to set expectations: it is my goal to present translations that flow and sounds natural. I would like translators to already be able to do that. However, if you are merely good at translation and writing is not one of your strengths, we do have staff that will rewrite scripts, or you can help QC the scripts from other translators.
- one series (no longer than 5 volumes, most series are 3 - 12 chapters) with monthly releases
- one oneshot/month
We have no set deadlines. You may work at your own pace within the monthly release schedule. You just need to tell me when you'll have it in. I provide all the raws and we have other translators in the group and amateur and professional friends who can help if you get stuck.
If you are interested in volunteering at Omari's Sister as a translator, please contact me, Kuroneko003 at email@example.com
It just occurred to me that it's been 9 months since the release of "Fushigi no Maria-kun" chapter 6. Therefore many of you may not have read "Fushigi no Maria-kun" or lost interest in the series. I'm working on chapters 7, 8, and 9 simultaneously so they can be released within days of one another. To catch up or refresh you, here are links to bundled versions of "Fushigi no Maria-kun" chapters 1 - 6.
Cute Red Panda says, "happy Valentine's Day everyone!" Viz unleashed some wonderful news for us shoujo and josei lovers today. They have licensed four series near and dear to a lot of our hearts. The series are:
"Yoroshiku Master" which they are localizing to "Sweet Rein"
"Seiyuu-ka!!" which they are localizing to "Voice Over!"
"The Midnight Secretary"
"Hapi Mari?!" which they are localizing to "Happy Marriage?!"

Let's give Shojo Beat our support by purchasing these books so we can get more wonderful licenses like these.
I don't have a special for you today because we've been directing our effort towards unfinished projects. I thought about releasing "Furou Kyoudai" today, but that would have been creepy, so I'll hold on to it. Anyhow... we have done some romantic oneshots in the past, so let's celebrate with five of my favorite!
Sorry for the long wait. I had a tough time with the translation because of all of the sexual subtext and mysterious casual male speech coming out of Teru's mouth. A few pages have gone through 3 or 4 revisions. I'd like to thank Jade, Katsuragi Mizuho, and DangoChan for helping me with the thorny parts of the chapter. Hopefully, we got most of the translation correct. Unfortunately, chapter 7 isn't going much better, but we'll get through it. Dai-sensei got some CRAZY run on sentences and chopped of sentence fragments in the chapter that are slowing me down.
On that note, we are recruiting Japanese to English translators. See this announcement here (LINK)
This is the "Umi Chapter." I'm not sure why all the ribald humor since the series has been innocuous so far. It was jarring for me. The next chapter is the obligatory "Vampire Hunter" chapter. It kinda comes out of nowhere...
Things are proceeding better than expected on our push to finish unfinished series. As such we will be able to debut three small projects next month! We are currently working on these projects, which means they are really going to happen! Here they are!
"Megane no Incubus" by Emiko Nakano
We've been slowly working on this one for a while. We plan to do a sequential release in March or April.
"Haikyo Shoujo" by Nao Tsukiji
This is a collection of 4 oneshots by Nao Tsukiji. We have a couple more oneshots from Wings magazine that we will also be including in this project. Again, we have been working on these oneshots for quite some time. The project will debut in March and the plan is release one oneshot per month and the rest in June during our anniversary oneshot party.
"Kurogane Girl" by Kokoro Natstu
This one is near and dear to my heart because it has sci-fi elements and the main female character is mechanically inclined. We are just now starting this one. Hopefully we can debut it very soon (Maybe Valentines day after Fushigi no Maria chapter 6???).
If you're wondering about "Dolci," that's still on our to-do list. The problem is that it's josei, so there are no furigana to help read the kanji. This means this series will need more time to translate. Right now we do not have the bandwidth to do that project. When the schedule lightens up, we'll do it.
RECRUITMENT: We need proofreaders/QCers. I you're interested, go here.
And suddenly this seemingly innocuous and sweet story goes someplace totally unexpected... *_* Whut? Is Tsumugi seriously saying that?! We knew what was on Tagami's mind... but, dude, really? Anyhow, I tried to be as delicate as possible with the translation in hopes of not making it look as though things took a sudden 90-degree turn. Still, it's refreshing to see a female character not shy away from carnal feelings. And thank goodness for Mami and Seiji. Two have been good check valves so far. Though, I still have suspicions about Seiji's intentions.
Once again lack of reliable proofreaders/QCers is delaying releases. I need at least a handful of reliable proofreaders/QCers to help get releases completed. The commitment is about 1 - 3 hours per week. You don't have to proofread every release if there are enough volunteers. Requirements: English fluency, English grammar proficiency and at least 1 hour/week free time If you are interested in helping Omari's Sister, please contact me, Kuroneko003, at firstname.lastname@example.org

Last month we finished "Detarame Mousouryoku Opera" and "Ojousama no Untenshu." I extend a big thanks to Ichigo Stars and Kurohaineko for taking on and completing a ridiculous amount of stoopidly hard redraws. Thanks to them, the releases looked wonderful! This also ticks two projects off of our unfinished projects list! Hooray!!! We're making progress.
Our plans are pretty straight forward for February. We will finish "Fushigi no Maria-kun" and complete two chapters of "Furou Kyoudai." "Magnolia" is on hiatus this month. And lastly, we are close to releasing "Pochamani" chapter 4.
We are currently in the process of picking new projects. If all goes well with "Fushigi no Maria-kun" and "Furou Kyoudai" we will start doing oneshots again in April, but at the rate of one per month until we complete our other incomplete series. We will not start any new series until June with debuts during our 4th anniversary celebration.
