Happy Valentine's Day

Cute Red Panda says, "happy Valentine's Day everyone!" Viz unleashed some wonderful news for us shoujo and josei lovers today.  They have licensed four series near and dear to a lot of our hearts.  The series are:

• "Yoroshiku Master" which they are localizing to "Sweet Rein"
• "Seiyuu-ka!!" which they are localizing to "Voice Over!"
• "The Midnight Secretary"
• "Hapi Mari?!" which they are localizing to "Happy Marriage?!"

I don't have a special for you today because we've been directing our effort towards unfinished projects. I thought about releasing "Furou Kyoudai" today, but that would have been creepy, so I'll hold on to it.  Anyhow... we have done some romantic oneshots in the past, so let's celebrate with five of my favorite!

Update: Valentine's Special One-Shots

This year's theme will be "Delinquent Love Story"!  Considering the bunch of highly anticipated one-shots by our favorite mangaka that are going to be released in February, I've decided that we will only do one special Valentine's Day one-shot. And so our Valentine's Day one-shot will be "Heart Assassin" by Kakeru Sora.  The other two one-shots are begun, but we will not be able to finish them by Valentines Day because of:

• "Ojou-sama no Untenshu" Chapter 1
• "Magnolia" Chp 18 and Lily Chp 3
• The 60 page Bisco Hatori one-shot
• "Akagami no Shirayukihime" Chp 31
• The Akane Ogura One-shot

Manga Summary: Kagetora Volume 8

Ahh, "Kagetora", this fluffly little pubescent male fantasy entertains me so much with its innocence. In this volume, Kagatora's brother, Taka, drops in for a visit. He tells Hime that she must score a hit on him within 24-hrs or her strict grandmother is going to come and reinforce her training. Oh, no, if Hime's grandma comes, then Hime's relationship with Kagetora will be threatened. What's an unathletic Rubenesce teenage girl to do? After that, it's off to an amusement park, where Taka acts like a typical older brother and gives Kagetora much grief. It got a chuckle out of me. Onto another episode in which Hime freaks out because she's gained a little bit of weight. Will Kagetora find out? (Will Kagetora even care?). The second half of this volume features some extra comics like you would find in supplemental editions of the big manga magazines (La La DX, for example). They play like regular chapters, so I don't understand why they are called out specially. Anyhow, one is about Hime doing martial arts while drunk, another involves hime going out on a date with a boy from Jr. High, the third is an onsen chapter, and the last one is a Valentines day story. All of the chapters are sweet as usual. And now I wait for Volume 9.
