April 2012 at Omari's Sister

I realize it's been over a week since our last release, but trust me, we're all working hard on various releases.  We just had nothing that could be finished right away after Yukarism.  Next week, though, we should start releasing a bunch of projects. Here what we got on deck for April:

• One-Shot: "Sekai de Utsukushii Namae" ("The World's Most Beautiful Name") by Yuu Toyota
• Servamp Chp 2
• Ojousama no Untenshu Chp 2
• Fushigi no Maria-kun Chp 5
• Rex Fabula Chp 5 and 6

There are a few other projects that could get done, but I'm going to be conservative because I lost last week due to real-life stress.

December at Omari's Sister

I can't believe the year is almost over!  I suppose it's true that time flies when you're having fun :).

Before we get to December, let’s recap November.  We had a lot of success with the Kuro Lala and Shira Lala releases.  I'm very surprised by their success, so I'm glad we were able to share these one-shots.  Hopefully like me, you have become aware of some mangaka you've never heard of.  Toyota Yuu is definitely a new favorite.  I will be looking out for one-shots and series from her in the future.  We are about 1/3 done with the one-shot planned from those two publications.  We plan to finish up the rest of the one-shots through the rest of winter 2011 and 2012.

And now onto December.  Because of the Kuro Lala and Shiro Lala one-shot party, we've fallen grossly behind of some of our series.  I would like to spend December finishing up the half finished series chapters and one-shots that got put aside over the past 3 months so we can have a sorta fresh start in January. Here's was what's planned:

August 2011 at Omari's Sister

July was quite a month for Omari's Sister.  Three surprised projects came up ("Liselotte and Witch's Forest", "The Hands the Demon Adored", and the "Ouran" July 2011 Special Chapter.)  As a consequence, some of the projects we had planned to start were moved back.  We also debuted our spin-off blog "Bakeneko's Lair" with the one-shot "Seigi no Mikata."  New members to the team in July:

June 2011 At Omari's Sister

Update:  We are transferring "Duet with a Demon" to Weekend Betsuender.  They are a new scanlation group.  Please cheer them on :).  I will announce what we will be working on instead in a couple of days.

I skipped this post for May because by the time I remembered I wanted to it, it was already the middle of May.  Hee!  Anyhow...first some announcements!  Our recruitment effort went well.  We got some new QC and proofreader volunteers.  Please welcome Chibi Anime Freak and Anime Lover!  Our cleaners leveled up significantly and now are doing tougher redraws.  Congratulations and thanks for putting in the extra effort to increase your skills Silver Lunar, Suzume, and Hahn!  You guys rock!  I also want to say thanks to all the readers out there who contributed thoughtful comments to the discussions we had.  Your participation make this community vibrant and fun  *bows*.  I hope we can continue forward in this spirit!

March At Omari's Sister

Phew!  February was fast and furious!  I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Day filled with candy and fun.  I'd like to thank all of the Omari's Sister volunteers for a highly productive month and for all their hard work.  We've really stepped up our game and I'm proud that we've been able to produce some gorgeous releases :).  Cookies for everyone!

Onto March! I completed my jury duty service.  I wasn't selected for a jury, but still it was a worthwhile experience and I'm proud to do my service as a US citizen.

I received Aria 4 today and "Pika Ichi" continues to improve.  Something pretty neat pops up at the end of chapter 8, so I'm pumped up again about the series :).  Magnolia chapter 8 is WOW!!!  I haven't stopped internally squealing since I saw it this afternoon.  J+K Chapter 8 is filled with yummy Aki drawings and we get deeper into the matter of Kana's brother Masayuki.  There's lots of good stuff this month from Aria.  Aria also starts more new series this month and next month.  I wish we could do more...but, we are swamped.

I've decided to take a break from Orange Chocolate for a few months.  We will resume the series in June.   I'm sorry to all you OC fans out there, but the break is needed to refresh my perspective on the series so I can give you the best translation I can.  I can say, though, after the sports festival arc, the story does get back on track.  It's just that right now I can't handle the next two chapters of the sports festival arc.

September At Omari's Sister

Things sorta went off the rails at the the beginning of the month (family emergency and computer crash).  I'm back now and I'll be playing catch up next week.  Hopefully, we'll will be able to deliver all that's scheduled this month.  So here's what's coming:

June at Omari's Sister

Despite the appendicitis set back that began May, things went very well.  We plowed through a lot of series and had a successful trial of "Seirei Produce." We will be continuing "Seirei Produce" as a joint project with La Noche de los Caidos and Hayana.  The other two teams will be translating SP into Spanish and French, respectively.  I'm happy to report as we exit May, the return of Sephyna and Kuma-chan.  Welcome back!

Adding Additional Webpages

Blogger now allows functionality to easily add web pages to blogs!  Yippee!!  Tonight I added a page with our release schedule so you never have to ask when something is going to come out.  I have also added an archive so you can quickly find past releases in one place :).  The links to these new pages can be found in the first column of the right sidebar.  I will put up some more useful pages as time permits, but for now, I thought those were the most important for the readers of this blog.
