Fushigi no Maria-Kun Preview!

Here's a preview of our newest series, "Fushigi no Maria-kun"!  This is a 9 chapter series by Shiina Dai, the same artist who brought us "World End Garden", which is my favorite one-shot of all time!  Like "World End Garden" is series has a good range of emotions (though it doesn't reach the gloomy depths of WEG) and a richly complex relationship between to the two main characters.  I'm really looking forward to releasing the first chapter.  So, to get you ready for what's in store, here's a preview of the first chapter! (Please forgive any errors you may find.  This has not been QC'ed or proofread yet.)

Pika Ichi Chapter 8 Preview! And AnS Announcement...

Update:  The new translator for AnS is Nati-chan (I'm very grateful to her for taking over because chapter 25 was like Japanese chopped word-salad to me -- devoid of grammatical structure and too many obscure word usages for me to grasp...ugh...page after page of WTF???).  AnS will now be a joint project between NeteruMouse and The Zero Alliance.  We will make Zip and PDF versions of AnS available here on Omari's Sister for those of you who can't open RAR files, those of you who are afraid of MediaFire, and for those of you who prefer to read releases on mobiles and tablets.  We will all try our best to get the remaining chapters out to you in a timely manner, so please be patient and refrain from pestering the folks from NM and TZA about release dates.

Yes! "Pika Ichi" is returning but as a low priority project.  This means that releases will not be on a regular schedule.  I'm sorry about the delay we took, but I wanted to get a few more chapters in to see where the story was going into order to decide whether to continue the series or drop it.  During that time, I came to understand and appreciate the ridiculousness of "Pika Ichi", so I can now say I like the series and I'm eager to continue it (for the meantime, barring no stupid plot twists.)

"Nanairo no Mukou" Preview

Here's a preview of our big spring one-shot.  Sorry it's taking so long, but it's a big whopping 71-pages, so it's taking a while to typeset ;p.  It's a really cute and touching story, so I hope you all will give it a chance and read it. This hasn't been QC'ed or proofread, so please bear with the mistakes you may find.

Ouran Special Spoiler

Here are my three favorite pages from the January 2011 Ouran special chapter.  The rest of the one-shot is mostly the story of "special guest star"  poor little rich girl Nanako sandwiched in a Barcelona travel brochure.  So, no, it's not really about Kyouya either.  It's more like a normal random chapter of Ouran in which the Host Club helps some person in distress.  Anyhow, please enjoy this preview.  We'll try to get the rest of the one-shot completed before the end of the month.

"Yukarism" Preview

Here is a preview of the one of our new series for 2011 called "Yukarism".  It's by Chika Shiomi the author of "Yurara" and "Rasetsu".  This is only a preview so it hasn't been QC'ed or proofread yet. Please forgive any typos or errors I haven't caught yet.  Hopefully, this little preview will give you some idea about the quality of the artwork (actually, I've saved the best parts because there are some stunningly gorgeous pages that I want to leave as a surprise) and a feel for the main characters.  I'm already very fond of the maid.

Teaser: Orange Chocolate Chapters 18 and 19

Here's a little teaser to get you ready for the double release of "Orange Chocolate" chapters 18 and 19.  I decided to do a double release because these two chapters go together well and it would be cruel to keep you all waiting in between chapters.  Also, I didn't want to break the emotional momentum that builds in chapter 18.

We're aiming for the release of both chapters on the 10th and it looks like we are going to be able to deliver :).

Nemurenu Kishi ni Hanataba wo (Bouquets of Flowers for the Sleepless Knight) Preview

We're slowly slogging through "Nemurenu Kishi ni Hanataba wo" so I figured to get to folks interested, I've post a short preview of the story.  The first part is mostly humorous, but the ending might induce a few tears.  Anyhow...this isn't the final version and there maybe typos, but here you go:

Here's a short preview of  "Kimi ni XOXO!" The section I am previewing is at the transition from the lackluster sweetness of the middle-beginning (the very beginning is very funny) to the funny and spunky goodness of the second half.  I hope you enjoy it and I hope it gets you to anticipate the chapter in its entirety.  Please excuse any typos or errors you see. This has yet to go under any quality check and is subject to be a little different in the final version.

Orange Chocolate Chapter 9 Preview

Here's a short preview of Orange Chocolate chapter 9.  I apologize for it not being very telling, but the first half of the chapter is very funny, so I don't want to spoil it and the second half is very dramatic and I don't want to spoil it either.  So, I chose the preview to be the transition between the two halves of this chapter's story.

New Series: Kaicho-san no Koneko -- Coming Soon

Update 4/8/2010:  The mini-series includes three chapter of Kaicho-san no Koneko, one side story, a one-shot called "Gakuran Ouji" ("Gakuran Prince" -- a "gakuran" is a boy's school uniform that has a long jacket with a stand-up collar and loose pants), and a very short KNK extra story.  "Gakuran Ouji" has already been translated into English, so we will skip it, but will scanlate the rest.  I've translated about 60% of the first chapter and it's a good mix of humor and sweetness -- very much along the lines of "Orange Chocolate."

Cleaning this manga isn't a lot of work, so I think once it's translated, I can finish the editing in a day or two.  Because of this, I've decided to pull the first chapter up to April, with a new ETA of 4/12.  I will try to put out a short preview of the series tomorrow.

We're starting "Kaicho-san no Koneko" ("The Student Council President's Kitten") this month, though the release of the first chapter won't actually be until early May.  Anyhow, I thought I'd give you all a little taste of this very cute series.  It's only 3 chapters long, so it will go quickly!  Anyhow, here's the cover illustration:

Orange Chocolate Chapter 8 Preview

We are working hard to get Orange Chocolate chapter 8 out by Thursday (33% edited, 60% cleaned).  A few happy "distractions" have come up for me on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, so I'm not sure whether release on the 8th is possible. But I'm not going to update the schedule until I know for sure.  As usual, cleaning Orange Chocolate is challenge, so it's taking a while.  Anyhow, here's a little preview wet your appetite:
