"Ojousama no Untenshu" Chapter 4

Here's chapter 4 as promised! It's the older-woman-hits-on-Narutaki chapter we all expected. Get your eye-rolls over with now.  Forget the pretty older lady, what's entertaining here is Sayaka's reaction to Narutaki's and Miss Fumi's relationship.  Now that this expected chapter is over with, guess what comes next??? Geez, I wonder could Sayaka's father could have picked out a fiancee for Sayaka. Noooooo, that would never happen. That would be be way too predictable.  Hahaha! As I've said before, I don't mind cliches as long as they are done well (and there's nicely drawn eye candy...ahem...cough...cough).

Oh and some notes for some folks for whom English is a second language:
  • "Spirits" -- euphemism for alcohol and whiskey
  • "Working woman" -- euphemism for "prostitute"
And a translator note for "Sanshou Dayu":  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sansho_the_Bailiff
The Wikipedia article is about a movie, but I imagine there's an older literary source for the story.

Oh! I almost forgot! This is the debut of Kurohaineko as one of our redraw artists!  She's taken care of all the redraws up through chapter 7.  Kuronhaineko comes to us on loan from another group :). Please give thanks to her for lending us her talents so we can complete this series successfully.

Onto to the release!

One-shot: "The Hands the Demon Adored"

We were planning this one-shot to kick off our fall spooky tales, but I suppose this isn't all that spooky even though the main male character is a demon.  In hindsight, this is more of a late winter/early spring kinda one-shot given the theme of rebirth.  Anyhow...we're doing it now...so yay!

Oh, in case you were wondering, the title's direct translation is "Affectionate Hands for a Demon".  I thought that was kind of wonky sounding, so I went with something more direct that expressed an adjacent idea. I offer my humble apology to translation purists.

I think (perhaps someone can confirm this) that Takagi-sensei is just coming off a break.  I was very surprised to see a work from her in Aria because her series and one-shots have always been in Lala and Lala DX.  It would be nice if she switched publishers and will now appear in Aria and Itan.  I think both of these publications would allow her to have more flexibility and maturity in her story telling.

Anyhow...on to the links:
